Caray Ford
Registered PhysiotherapistCaray graduated from Queen’s University with a Masters of Physiotherapy. She completed her Bachelors of Science Honours Kinesiology at the University of Waterloo. At Waterloo, Caray competed as a 300m sprinter on the varsity track team as well as a student athletic therapist for the cross-country team. Her passion for sport performance, living an active lifestyle, and physical literacy was developed at a young age from being involvement in multiple sports such as basketball, badminton, volleyball, and track and field. Recreationally she continues to enjoys a variety of other sports and activities such as hiking, yoga, dodgeball, and ultimate frisbee.
Prior to obtaining her Masters of Physiotherapy, Caray was certified and worked as a canfitpro personal trainer and CSEP Exercise Physiologist that allowed her to grow her exercise prescription repertoire. Throughout her education, Caray has pursued experiences that have helped shape her into the compassionate healthcare clinician that she is now. She takes pride in her ability to assess an individual’s personal goals and provide a unique treatment plan for all her clients.
Caray has continued to pursue training in pelvic floor physiotherapy and is educated and skilled in helping individuals with urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and a variety of pelvic pain disorders including endometriosis. She has also taken extra courses to help women prepare for labour and return to activity postpartum. Other post-graduate training Caray has completed and continues to pursue is dry needling, advanced manual therapy, and acupuncture.
Caray works at the Main St location and really enjoys the collaborative team approach that is fostered at the OPTSC clinics. She loves getting to know her patients so that she can better tailor her treatment to their needs.
