François Duquette
Registered PhysiotherapistFrançois is a physiotherapist with a deep commitment to client-centered care. He earned his Master of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy from the University of Ottawa in 2019, building on his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the same institution in 2017. With a focus on personalized treatment, François creates customized rehabilitation plans to address each patients’ unique needs and goals. His approach integrates manual therapy, specific exercise programs, and evidence-based education on injury prevention and recovery to optimize physical health and well-being.
François has a strong passion for improving his clients’ quality of life, whether it’s supporting their athletic aspirations or helping them return to everyday activities. Since completing his Master’s degree, François has continued to expand his expertise. He holds the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Level 1 certification and has completed his Level 2 certifications for both the upper and lower body. He has also completed the Lumbar Spine MDT Level A course, as well as Functional Dry Needling Levels 1 and 2. Always striving for professional growth, François is committed to continuing his education and pursuing further advanced manual therapy training.
Fluent in both French and English, François was born and raised in Ottawa and has a lifelong passion for sports and physical activity. Having played hockey, soccer, football, lacrosse, and competitive skiing, he brings extensive experience in treating sports injuries and designing individualized fitness programs. François has a particular interest in sports rehabilitation, concussion treatment, vertigo management, and running assessments, form correction, and injury prevention.
In his personal time, François enjoys traveling, hiking, and staying active through strength training. He had the unique opportunity to work for a year as a physiotherapist in New Zealand, where he gained valuable experience treating UFC and rugby athletes. François also enjoys playing recreational hockey and soccer, and training for triathlons, which allows him to maintain a strong connection to both the sports world and the experiences of his clients.
