Michelle Laroche
Registered PhysiotherapistMichelle is a bilingual Physiotherapy Resident who received her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa after completing her Bachelor's in Health Sciences with Honours.
Michelle pursued a Masters of Physiotherapy Degree after having played a variety of sports at a competitive level. Following her own experience as a patient in Physiotherapy, she became passionate about helping others reach their full potential and personal goals in a Physiotherapy Setting.
This passion translated into her role as a Physiotherapy Aide at the University of Ottawa as well as an Athletic Student Trainer for both the Men’s and Women’s Varsity Basketball teams. This involved covering sports events and playing a key role in the prevention, management, and treatment of injuries during the season. She also completed sports event coverage for other Gee-Gees teams, including Football and Gee-Gees Camps as well as for Volleyball Canada and RSEQ Hockey tournaments.
Michelle had the privilege of completing her clinical placements in Cardio-Surgery, Neuropediatrics, and Sports Physiotherapy settings during her Masters Program.
Michelle is passionate about helping others reach their personal goals in Physiotherapy through an individualized treatment plan using evidence-based manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and education. Michelle strives to work with patients in a collaborative approach in the management of their Physiotherapy rehabilitation to help them reach their goals.
