Theophile Charles, FCAMPT
Registered PhysiotherapistTheo is a bilingual registered physiotherapist who has a passion for rehabilitation. He has wide-ranging experience with orthopaedics, sport injuries, running assessments, pre/post-surgery rehabilitation, functional dry needling, custom brace fitting, ergonomic assessment, home visits, and treatments of various conditions/pathologies.
Theo completed his Master of Clinical Science (Advanced Healthcare Practice - Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy) at the University of Western Ontario, which allowed him to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT). Prior to that, he completed both his Master of Science in Physiotherapy and his Honours Bachelor of Science with specialization in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. Theo has completed various post-graduate courses in manual therapy, and he plans to pursue further education in this area as well as vestibular physical therapy.
With his previous background as a competitive level athlete and dealing with injuries, Theo decided to pursue a career in physiotherapy as he recognizes the significance of overcoming challenges to reach your goals. Previously, he worked as an Athletic Student Trainer with the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees Men’s Basketball team, covering various sports events and at the professional level with the Atlético Ottawa soccer team.
Theo is passionate about helping others by treating their injuries while providing the highest level of care and expertise to his patients. He strives to bring satisfaction to every patient by providing an individualized treatment plan to get patients back to previous levels of activity, lifestyle, or sport. He strongly believes that a combination of manual therapy and an evidenced-based treatment plan, along with adequate exercise prescriptions, will help patients reach their goals.
In his spare time, Theo enjoys a very active lifestyle playing basketball, golf, volleyball, cycling, hiking, and weightlifting.
