Martin Primeau, PT, FCAMPT
Registered PhysiotherapistMartin is a Registered Physiotherapist who has extensive experience treating sporting, occupational, motor vehicle accident-related, and a broad range of musculoskeletal orthopedic injuries. He has a strong clinical interest in biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor control, and incorporates these into his treatment approach.
Martin graduated with honors from the Human Kinetics program at the University of Ottawa in 2012, followed by a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from the same university in 2014. He later completed a Master of Clinical Science in Advanced Health Care Practice, specializing in Manipulative Therapy, at Western University in 2018. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) and a certified Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS) practitioner through the University of British Columbia.
Dedicated to continuous learning, Martin has undertaken various postgraduate courses. These include functional dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, concussion management, and the treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction. He is also a Registered Mentor with the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, supporting the development of future clinicians.
Martin has worked and volunteered with a variety of professional and amateur sports teams, including Atlético Ottawa (CPL), as well as several local soccer and football organizations. He has delivered educational talks on injury prevention for runners with The Running Room and has presented on workplace ergonomics for organizations such as McGill University’s Department of Ophthalmology, private ophthalmology clinics, and the Government of Canada. Currently practicing at the Hunt Club location, Martin is fluent in both English and French. He places a high value on an active, well-rounded life. His approach to care is rooted in a commitment to providing top-notch, evidence-based treatment. This includes hands-on therapy, personalized exercise plans, and educating his clients.
