Patrick Mckee- Clinic Manager
OPTSC team member since 2017Patrick is a graduate of the Masters of Physiotherapy program from the University of Ottawa, having completed his degree in 2017. Prior to this, he graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Ottawa in 2014. Patrick is fluently bilingual, with a keen interest in orthopedics, musculoskeletal and sports injuries. He has completed several courses including Level 3 Manual Therapy – Upper Quadrant and Level 2 – Lower Quadrant (Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy); Kinetacore Dry Needling Level 2; Bernard Tonks’ Vestibular Rehabilitation intro & advanced; Shannon McGuire’s Concussion Management Level 1; Carol Kennedy’s Exercise Prescription for Cervical Spine Dysfunction; Acupuncture; McKenzie level A. Patrick also treats temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD), vestibular dysfunction, concussions and plans to continue taking continued education courses, including running evaluations, and further Manual Therapy levels.
Patrick has deep ties to the Barrhaven and Nepean communities, having moved to the area at the age of 9, and was the Referee in Chief of the Nepean Ringette Association from 2012-2019. Patrick is a nationally-ranked Ringette official, having attended several Provincial Championships, an Eastern Canadian Championship, and Canadian Ringette Championships from 2018-2020, and in 2023. Patrick also assists in officiating development as both an instructor and evaluator. He also has interest in many other sports, namely golf, skiing (cross-country and alpine), crossfit, hockey, baseball and running, while also enjoying participating in several others.
Having been a Physiotherapy patient in the past following various sports injuries, Patrick understands the importance of manual therapy, rehabilitation exercise prescription and patient education geared toward self-management. Patrick is currently working at our Stonebridge location.
