Krysten Poirier
Registered Physiotherapist Krysten is a bilingual Registered Physiotherapist who earned her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick.Before pursuing her career in physiotherapy, Krysten honed skills in manual therapy as a Registered Massage Therapist. During this time, she worked alongside and collaborated closely with physiotherapists, strengthening her passion for the field. Additionally, she fulfilled the role of team Registered Massage Therapist for the Men's and Women's Swimming teams at the University of New Brunswick. This responsibility included accompanying the teams to competitive events and assuming a pivotal role in injury prevention, management and treatment throughout the season.
Krysten's interest in orthopedics and manual therapy led her to complete post-graduate courses. She holds certifications in Part A: The Lumbar Spine from the Robin McKenzie Institute Canada's Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) and Level 2 Lower from the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program. Krysten is devoted to advancing her professional development through the orthopedic-level system to elevate the quality of care she delivers.
Krysten's dedication focuses on enhancing her clients' well-being and empowering them to achieve their goals. She takes a patient-centred approach by customizing each treatment plan with evidence-based manual therapy techniques, exercise prescriptions, and education.
Beyond work, Krysten enjoys spending time with loved ones and moving her body by working out at the gym, enjoying the outdoors, or practicing yoga.
