Ibrahim Fofana
Registered PhysiotherapistIbrahim is a Physiotherapy resident from the University of Ottawa who completed his Masters of physiotherapy in 2023. In 2020, he also completed his bachelor's Degree with Honours in the program of Human Kinetics. As a fully bilingual physiotherapist, Ibrahim prides himself in providing an inclusive and safe environment of care for all patients.
Ibrahim’s passion for sports and sciences and having a great experience rehabbing from injuries with a physiotherapist consolidated his choice to pursue this field. He believes in the empowerment of patients through education and a patient-centered care approach to help them get back to their better selves.
Being a basketball coach, a sports and conditioning coach, as well as having worked as an athletic student trainer with numerous teams like the Ottawa Baseball teams Titans, the University of Ottawa Men Basketball team, and the La Cité Collégiale, Ibrahim is eager to expand his experiences with athletes of different sports backgrounds.
Ibrahim has a keen interest in cardiorespiratory rehabilitation, orthopaedics, manual therapy as well as dry needling, and acupuncture. Ibrahim has also completed postgraduate courses such as the manual therapy Level 1 Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal exam.
On his off days, Ibrahim keeps an active lifestyle by playing basketball and by boxing with friends.
