Jonathan Milks, MPT, B.Sc. (Hons)
Physiotherapist & Performance CoachJonathan is a Master of Physical Therapy graduate from the University of Western Ontario, where he competed as a varsity baseball player until completing his degree. His athletic journey first brought him to Western Oklahoma State College, where he balanced academics and athletics, earning Academic All-American honours as a pitcher for the baseball team. After returning to Canada, Jonathan completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science with Honours and Distinction from the University of Guelph.
Growing up, Jonathan played baseball, football, and basketball—experiences that sparked his interest in physiotherapy following a series of injuries. These formative challenges gave him firsthand appreciation for the transformative impact of a passionate therapist on recovery and performance. Today, Jonathan strives to go beyond traditional rehabilitation, helping his clients build a strong foundation for injury prevention and empowering them to enjoy active, healthy lives.
Jonathan's passion for coaching and mentorship spans nearly a decade. While in university, he coached baseball and provided personal training to young athletes each summer. Many of the athletes he mentored have gone on to play collegiate baseball in the United States. These experiences also led to a physiotherapy internship at Driveline Baseball in Seattle, Washington—a cutting-edge biomechanics lab and training facility frequented by MLB athletes. During this time, Jonathan gained advanced knowledge in injury prevention, performance optimization, surgical rehabilitation, and the mental hurdles of recovery.
Now practicing at the OPTSC Stonebridge location, equipped with a full gym, Jonathan combines his expertise in physiotherapy with his coaching experience. He is dedicated to helping clients not only recover from injuries but also improve their overall relationship with exercise, promoting resilience and long-term physical well-being.
