Nicole Cameron
Registered PhysiotherapistNicole is a proficient bilingual Physiotherapist Resident who graduated from the University of Ottawa with a master's degree in Physiotherapy. Upon graduation, her dedication to the field of physiotherapy was recognized through several awards. She was the recipient of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Student Award, a distinction awarded to the graduating student with the highest performance in both academic and clinical physiotherapy realms, and the recipient of the Orthopaedic Excellence Award (by the National Orthopaedic Division), given to the student to be the highest ranked based on a combination of exceptional leadership, advocacy, and interest in orthopaedics. Prior to this, she completed her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Sciences (biology).
During Nicole’s academic tenure, she gained comprehensive experience in diverse settings such as orthopaedics, sports, joint replacements, and neurological physiotherapy. Fuelled by her keen interest in orthopaedics, musculoskeletal, and sports injuries, she has successfully completed post-graduate certifications such as Level 1 of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program and Meridian Health: Acupuncture and Dry Needling. Nicole plans to continue to pursue further expertise in manual therapy and continued education courses, including TMJ dysfunction and vestibular rehabilitation. Nicole is also part of the Eastern Ontario Orthopaedics Unit committee of the National Orthopaedics Division.
Having played high-level competitive soccer, accompanied by her personal experience of rehabilitation from multiple injuries, Nicole’s passion for health and movement led her to pursue physiotherapy as a career. She is driven by the desire to empower others to achieve their wellness goals while implementing a tailored and holistic approach that recognizes the unique needs of each patient.
In her spare time, Nicole enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, playing the piano, and spending time with her family and friends.
